Product Description
Product Overview
EDTA magnesium disodium (also known as EDTA Mg disodium, EDTA magnesium chelate, EDTA-Mg 6%) is a highly effective EDTA chelated magnesium product. It appears as a white powder, with chelated magnesium content of 5.5%-6.5%, pH (1% aqueous solution) of 6.0-7.5, and water-insoluble matter ≤0.1%. Produced via EDTA chelation, the magnesium exists in a stable chelated form, readily absorbable by crops.
Key Features
- High chelated magnesium contentChelated magnesium 5.5%–6.5%, ensuring adequate magnesium supply
- Good StabilityEDTA chelated magnesium, high stability, not easily fixed by soil
- Fully Water SolubleFully water-soluble, no sediment, suitable for various irrigation systems
- Low impuritiesWater insoluble matter ≤0.1%, high purity
Application Guide
Recommended Dosage
| Application Method | Recommended Dosage | Precautions |
|---|---|---|
| Foliar Spray | 5-1.0 kg/ha | Dilute 1000–2000 times and spray evenly on both sides of leaves |
| Drip Irrigation / Foliar Flush | 5 kg/ha | Apply with irrigation water; avoid mixing with strongly alkaline fertilizers. |
| Water-Soluble Fertilizer Compounding | 1-3% | Conduct a pre-dissolution test when using with other trace elements |
Usage Recommendations
- Apply on cloudy days or in the evening to avoid strong light and high temperature periods
- Can be mixed with most pesticides and foliar fertilizers; a small preliminary test is recommended before mixing
- When dissolving, first add the product to clean water, stir until fully dissolved, then add other fertilizers
- Adjust application frequency based on the degree of crop magnesium deficiency and growth stage, typically apply every 15-20 days.

Agricultural Nutrients, Fertilizers
Frequently Asked Questions
The main difference lies in the chelation process and nutrient form.
- General Magnesium FertilizerExists in inorganic magnesium salt form (e.g., magnesium sulfate), prone to precipitation reactions with other elements, resulting in lower absorption rate.
- EDTA Magnesium SodiumExists in EDTA chelated form, with magnesium "wrapped" by EDTA molecules, ensuring good stability, resistance to soil fixation, and direct absorption by crops.
Store in a dry, ventilated warehouse away from direct sunlight; handle with care.
