Product description
Disodium manganese ethylenediaminetetraacetate is a highly effective EDTA chelated manganese fertilizer. The product is a light pink crystalline powder with chelated manganese content 12.5%-13.5%, pH (1% aqueous solution) 6.0-7.0, water-insoluble substances ≤0.1%. Uses EDTA chelation technology, manganese is in EDTA chelate form, allowing crops to directly absorb and utilize it, with absorption rate significantly higher than conventional inorganic manganese fertilizers.

Application recommendations
Application by drip irrigation
Fully water-soluble formula, especially suitable for protected cultivation and precision agriculture; EDTA-chelated manganese can be directly absorbed by crops.
- Concentration: 0.5–2 g/L of irrigation water
- Application rate: 0.5—2 kg/mu/application
- Frequency: once every 10–15 days
Foliar Feeding
Rapidly replenishes manganese deficiency, eliminates deficiency symptoms, especially suitable for fruit trees and vegetables.
- Dilution factor: 1:1000–1:2000
- Application rate: 30–60 L/mu
- Time: morning or evening, avoid high temperatures
Application with irrigation water
Applied with irrigation water (fertigation), suitable for manganese supplementation in fruit trees, vegetables, and other cash crops.
- Dosage: 1–3 kg/mu/application
- Dilution ratio: 1:100–1:200
- Timing: Critical Crop Growth Period
Complex water-soluble fertilizer
Used as a manganese source in combination with water-soluble macrofertilizers for balanced nutrition.
- Use together with water-soluble macronutrient fertilizers
- Addition ratio: 1–5%
- Suitable for melons, vegetables, fruit trees
Suitable crops and recommended dosage
| Crop Type | Typical crops | Application rate for drip irrigation | Application rate for foliar feeding | Application Timing |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Fruit Trees | Apples, pears, peaches, grapes, citrus | 1 – 2 kg/mu | 1000-2000 times | Period of germination, flowering, young fruit formation. |
| Vegetables | Tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, eggplants, leafy vegetables | 0.5 – 1.5 kg/mu | 1000 – 1500 times | Seedling, flowering, and fruiting stages |
| Field Crops | Wheat, corn, rice, soybean | 5 – 1 kg/mu | 1000 – 1500 times | Tillering stage, stem elongation stage |
| Industrial crops | Tea, Tobacco, Cotton | 1 – 2 kg/mu | 1000-2000 times | Active growth period |
- Store in a cool, dry place, avoid direct sunlight; use opened package as soon as possible.
- For foliar feeding, it is recommended to first conduct a small-area test to ensure no phytotoxicity, then use on larger areas.
- Can be mixed with most fertilizers and pesticides, but a small-area test is recommended before application.
- Before drip irrigation, it is recommended to filter the solution to prevent clogging of drippers with impurities.
- Manganese dosage must be controlled to avoid excess and toxicity.
Frequently asked questions
Typical Symptoms of Manganese Deficiency in Plants Include:
- Leaf ChlorosisInterveinal chlorosis of young leaves, with veins remaining green, forming a net pattern.
- Growth RetardationSlow and stunted plant growth
- Fruit development disordersFruits Shrivel, Quality Declines
Often found in soils with high pH (calcareous soils), soils with low organic matter content, or fields with intensive lime application.
- Regular Manganese SulfateBeing in the form of an inorganic salt, crops need to convert it into an absorbable form; the uptake rate is low, and it readily forms precipitates and fixes with phosphate ions and other substances in the soil.
- EDTA Manganese ChelateBeing in the form of EDTA chelate, manganese is 'encapsulated' in the EDTA molecule, offering good stability, not easily fixed by soil; crops can directly absorb and utilize it, with utilization efficiency significantly higher than ordinary inorganic manganese fertilizers.
EDTA chelated manganese is particularly suitable for use in high pH soils and drip irrigation systems.
The manganese application period should be determined based on the crop growth cycle and its specific nutritional needs:
- Emergence PhasePromotes healthy seedling growth
- Tillering/stem elongation stageStimulates tillering and stem growth
- Flowering and Fruiting PeriodStimulates flower bud differentiation and fruit development
It is recommended to apply in advance during key periods of crop manganese requirement: prevention is better than cure.
Store in original packaging, sealed, in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place. Shelf Life:24 monthsStorage Precautions:
- Keep out of direct sunlight and humid environments.
- Avoid contact with sharp objects to prevent damage to packaging
Opened bags should be used as soon as possible; unused product must be sealed and stored.
